Since 2023, Franck-Philippe Georgin has served as Secretary General of the French family-owned group Lucien Barrière. He is responsible for Communication, CSR, Legal Affairs and Corporate Governance, Public and Institutional Affairs, as well as Group Security for the Casino and hotel group.
Franck-Philippe Georgin’s career has been primarily shaped by his service to the French State and public life.
Within the French Ministry of the Interior, he began his career in the prefectural corps (Chief of Staff to the Prefect of the Picardy region from 2008 to 2010, Secretary General of the Prefecture of Creuse from 2010 to 2011). In 2011, he joined the cabinet of the French Minister of the Interior as Adviser. In 2012, he was appointed Deputy Prefect of Fontainebleau. From 2012 to 2014, he served as Chief of Staff to the President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes. In 2015, he became Director of Studies and International Relations for the French political party Les Républicains.
In 2017, he moved into the private sector, joining the Strategy and Planning Department of the Casino Group (which owns brands such as Monoprix, Franprix, Vival, Casino, Cdiscount.com, etc.). He was appointed Secretary General of the Casino Group in 2018 and served simultaneously as a Board Member in 2022. He was notably responsible for managing the Group’s human resources and senior management during a time of major transformation in the food retail sector. He also sat on the board of the Casino Group’s Corporate Foundation and of several listed subsidiaries abroad (GPA in Brazil and Cnova in the Netherlands).
In 2022, he was appointed Senior Vice President in charge of projects and development at the shipping company CMA-CGM in Marseille.
In 2023, he joined the French family-owned Lucien Barrière Group as Secretary General, the French leader in casinos and luxury hospitality.
Franck-Philippe Georgin is a graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques in Rennes and an alumnus of the École nationale d’administration (Aristide Briand class of 2008).
