Proximus to bolster its mobile offer, with even more data for its customers
On 1 May, Proximus will be introducing its improved mobile offer. By offering more data for the same price, Proximus is adapting to the needs of its customers, whose mobile data usage is significantly higher than a few years ago. Proximus is improving its mobile offer so its customers are able to enjoy the fastest mobile network in Belgium in an even more carefree way, especially all those who leverage 5G's unmatched speed.
Streaming videos on the bus or train, gaming, attending videoconferences, uploading content to one's socials: these are just a few examples that show to what extent the world we live in today is ultra-connected. A world in which customers are using more and more mobile data on their smartphones and are increasingly interested in subscriptions including abundant data volumes. As market leader, Proximus wants to keep delighting its customers with a rich and unrivalled mobile experience. That's why, from 1 May, it is making a number of changes to its out-of-bundle mobile offer, in order to meet its customers' needs.
More specifically, Proximus is to introduce the following changes:
- Mobile Essential remains unchanged with, on top of unlimited text messages, 150 call minutes and 5 GB of mobile data in Belgium and the EU, for 16.99 euros/month.
- Mobile Easy also remains unchanged with, on top of unlimited calls and text messages, 10 GB of mobile data in Belgium and the EU and access to 5G for 19.99 euros/month (promo at 16.99 euros for the first 6 months).
- Mobile Smart is the new addition to the mobile offer. It offers unlimited calls and text messages, and includes 35 GB of mobile data to surf in Belgium and the EU, as well as access to 5G for 24.99 euros/month (promo at 19.99 euros for the first 6 months).
- Mobile Maxi gets a boost with, on top of unlimited calls and text messages, 70 GB of mobile data (previously 50 GB) in Belgium and the EU and access to 5G for 29.99 euros/month (promo at 21.99 euros for the first 6 months).
- Mobile Unlimited remains unchanged with, on top of unlimited calls and text messages, unlimited mobile data to take full advantage of 5G in Belgium and the EU for 49.99 euros/month (promo at 34.99 euros for the first 6 months). Once customers have used up the 300 GB (Fair Use Policy), they can continue surfing at reduced speed at no extra charge.
Proximus provides for the possibility to buy the best and latest smartphones by subscribing to joint offers at attractive prices in combination with these new offers. Customers can also opt for a mobile subscription in a Pack with Internet and/or TV. Subscription rates become even more attractive when extra data are added to suit individual needs.
Proximus has not forgotten about its business customers either, as the mobile offer for the self-employed and SMEs has also been improved:
- Business Mobile Smart, which includes unlimited calls and text messages, now offers 40 GB of mobile data in Belgium and the EU (previously 20 GB) for 23 euros/month excluding VAT (promo at 16 euros excluding VAT for the first 6 months).
- Business Mobile Comfort also makes its appearance, with unlimited calls and text messages and 85 GB of mobile data in Belgium and the EU for 33 euros/month excluding VAT (promo at 23 euros excluding VAT for the first 6 months).
The latter plan is also compatible with joint offers. All other mobile offers for business customers remain unchanged.
As the preferred mobile operator of Belgian consumers, delivering the fastest mobile network in the country, our aim is to continue offering our customers the best mobile service on the market. This means we have to continually adapt our offer to our customers' growing data needs. The changes we're making today to our mobile offering are perfectly in line with this philosophy.
