Proximus revolutionizes the mobile market by launching FullControl, the first blocked subscription in Belgium, and revamps its prepaid offer
In Belgium there are currently close to 4.3 million people who opt for a prepaid solution for their mobile communications. Their main motivation? Control their budget.
Among these, there is a growing number of customers, especially young people, who want to be permanently connected (with friends, family, over the social networks, etc.) while keeping their budget under control. Parents who pay the bills of their children also want to keep it under check. To meet these needs, on 1 June Proximus launched Smart FullControl, the first blocked subscription in Belgium. This new formula combines the advantages of a subscription, without customers being able to overshoot their budget.
A certain number of customers with only limited or irregular mobile use prefer a prepaid card. For them, Proximus has revamped its prepaid offer, launching Pay&Go+ on 1 June. This new card meets all their needs as it offers free bonus minutes, texts and data with every top-up.
Smart FullControl, the first blocked subscription in Belgium to offer the advantages of a subscription without any budget overruns
This formula includes the same number of minutes, texts and MB as the Smart+ subscriptions, but customers cannot exceed their bundle limit and thus retain full control over their monthly budget. They therefore have the guarantee of never having to pay a cent more than the monthly fee they chose on subscribing. This is useful for young people who sometimes have a tendency to significantly overshoot their bundle limit...
Advantages of Smart FullControl
- Smart FullControl is the ideal formula for children, teenagers and students who want to benefit from the advantages of a traditional subscription, i.e. more minutes, texts and data, while having the guarantee that they won't exceed their budget. And all this from €15 (or even €13 if in a Pack).
- Smart FullControl enables parents to finally offer their children a subscription with complete peace of mind: they no longer need to worry about the bundle limit being exceeded.
- Lastly, this formula is also ideal for all customers who currently don't want to take out a subscription since their main priority is to control their budget.
- They can monitor their usage via the MyProximus app.
Three Smart FullControl formulas
Smart FullControl is available in three formulas according to the monthly budget chosen:

In concrete terms, how does it work?
The customer enjoys unlimited texting every month, as well as calling minutes and MB which become blocked automatically once used up. If the customer reaches one of these limits and still wants to make calls or browse the Web, he can top up with additional credit. He will then receive an amount that will be debited according to his usage at the price of €0.30 per minute and €0.50 per MB. This credit is also necessary to cover additional costs linked to roaming calls in the EU, other roaming calls, international communications or calls to premium-rate numbers (0900 numbers, etc.).
Even if his credit has been used up, the customer will always remain contactable and can continue to send text messages.
Pay&Go+, the new prepaid card, a simplified and more comprehensive solution
For customers with limited or irregular mobile usage, Proximus launches a simplified and more comprehensive prepaid card, namely Pay&Go+, which replaces the existing prepaid cards. The Pay&Go+ card offers free top-up bonuses in the form of minutes, texts and MB with every top-up.
Pay&Go+ allows three top-up amounts (€10, €15 or €25), each accompanied by a bonus:

The bonuses are used up before the credit as they are valid for only 31 days. The credit, however, remains valid for as long as the card is active (to a maximum saved-up amount of €250). Once the bonus has been used up, the rate applied is €0.30 per minute, €0.12 per text and €0.50 per MB of data.

To switch to Pay&Go+, the current Pay&Go customer simply calls the toll-free number 1911 and then selects options 2 and 1. He will then benefit from the Pay&Go+ advantages as from his next top-up.
