Executive Committee

The Executive Committee’s role is to assist the Chief Executive Officer in the exercise of her duties, responsibility and ownership of operational management (including, but not limited to, day­-to­-day management). Its members are appointed and discharged by the Board of Directors on proposal of the Chief Executive Officer, after consultation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Dominique Leroy – Chief Executive Officer

Dominique Leroy is CEO of Proximus. In October 2011, she joined Belgacom as Vice President Sales for the Consumer Business Unit. In June 2012, she was appointed Executive Vice President of the Consumer Business Unit and became a member of the management committee. In January 2014, Dominique was appointed CEO of Belgacom, which was named "Proximus" in 2015.

After graduating from Solvay Business School in 1987 with a degree in Business Engineering, Dominique began her career at Unilever, where she held posts in marketing, finance, logistics, sales and general management. From September 2007 until October 2011, she was Country Manager and Vice President Customer Development at Unilever Belgium, and a member of the Unilever Benelux Board.

In 2013, Dominique received the title of Master Marketer from StiMa (Stichting Marketing). She won the Trends Business Woman Award in the CEO category in 2014. In 2015 she won the Harvard Club of Belgium Leadership Prize and was elected Manager of the Year. Dominique recently won the LEAD-IN Leadership Award.

Dominique is also an independent board member at Lotus Bakeries and Ahold Delhaize, and a board member of the Proximus subsidiaries BICS, Be-Mobile, and Proximus Art. She is very active in Belgium as a member of several professional and management associations (e.g. Women on Board, Young Professional Organization, UBA, and Guberna).

Dominique was born in Brussels in 1964. She is married with two sons (aged 20 and 18). Besides her family and job, she has a passion for music, traveling, modern art and sports.


Sandrine Dufour - Chief Financial Officer

Sandrine Dufour assumed the post of Chief Financial Officer of Proximus on 1 April 2015. From 1999 to 2013, Sandrine pursued a career as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Director of Innovation at Vivendi, the former parent company of SFR, in France and the US. In 2013, she became Executive Vice President Finance & Strategy at SFR. Before that, Sandrine held various posts as a financial analyst in France, at BNP and Credit Agricole Chevreux (European telecom sector).

Sandrine holds several financial degrees from ESSEC Business School, the Société Française des Analystes Financiers, and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.

Sandrine is an independent director at the French company Solocal. She is also a director at the Proximus subsidiaries BICS, Tango and Telindus Luxembourg, Connectimmo, Be-Mobile, Belgian Mobile Wallet, PGS, Proximus Pension Fund, and Proximus Art.


Dirk Lybaert - Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

Dirk Lybaert is Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Proximus and has the following responsibilities: Legal, Regulatory, Public Affairs, Group Communications, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Security Governance & Investigations, Secretary General and Digital Workplace sponsor.

Dirk was Secretary-General of Belgacom from 2005 to 2014. From 1995 until 2007, he was an assistant at the Law Faculty of the University of Brussels for the “Named Contracts” course. From 2000 to 2005 he held different positions within the legal department of Belgacom. Prior to joining Belgacom, Dirk served as an officer with the Federal Police, where he reached the position of Lieutenant-Colonel and Director of the Anti-Terrorism Program.

Dirk is a member of the board of directors of BICS, Proximus Foundation, Proximus Art and Proximus Opal.He also has external mandates at Bednet and Explio.

Dirk holds a Master’s degree in Criminology, Law and Business Law, and degrees in Advanced Management and Social and Military Sciences.


Geert Standaert - Chief Technology Officer

Geert Standaert joined the Executive Committee in March 2012. As Chief Technology Officer he oversees all IT development, service engineering, technical infrastructure and operations for the Group as well as the wholesale activities.

Mr Standaert joined the Group in 1994 and held Director positions in various disciplines, including IT, Infrastructure Operations and Data Operations before becoming Vice President Customer Operations in 2007.

Mr. Standaert is Board Member of Synductis and member of the Advisory Board for “Artsen Zonder Grenzen/Médecins Sans Frontières”

Mr. Standaert holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ghent (RUG).


Renaud Tilmans - Chief Customer Operations Officer

Renaud Tilmans joined the Executive Committee as Chief Customer Operations Officer of Proximus in May 2014. In this function, he works with his teams to align procedures and create synergies between the operational after-sales activities of the different Business Units.

Renaud joined Belgacom in 1993. He held various director positions in the field of ICT and networks before assuming the post of Vice President Customer Operations of the Business Unit Service Delivery Engine & Wholesale in 2012.

Within the Proximus Group, Renaud is director at Tango Luxembourg and Scarlet Belgium.

Renaud is a civil engineer and holds degrees in IT and management.


Jan Van Acoleyen - Chief Human Resources Officer

Jan Van Acoleyen is Chief Human Resources Officer of Proximus. Jan joined Proximus in May 2016, after a 28-year career with various international HR management roles, mainly in high-tech companies such as Alcatel, Agfa-Gevaert and Barco. As a HR leader, he acquired extensive experience in organizational and corporate culture transformations.

Jan has a Master's degree in Educational Studies from Leuven University and an Executive MBA from the University of Antwerp. He is also a Director at SD Worx, the Proximus subsidiaries BICS, Proximus Foundation, Proximus Pension Fund, and Tango Luxembourg, and is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee of BICS and of the Board of Directors of Experience@Work.


Bart Van Den Meersche - Chief Enterprise Market Officer

Bart Van Den Meersche is Chief Enterprise Market Officer of Proximus. In 2011, Bart joined Belgacom following 28 years of experience in the ICT sector with a professional career at IBM, where he held various management functions for 16 years, and spent eight years as Country General Manager of IBM Belgium/Luxembourg. In his last year at IBM, he was Vice President Industries & Business Development IBM South-West Europe, and a member of the IBM South-West Europe Executive Management Team.

For six years, Bart was Chairman of Agoria ICT and a member of the Board of Directors of Agoria, VOKA and VBO.

Within the Proximus Group, Bart is a director at Proximus SpearIT, Tango and Telindus Luxembourg and Be-Mobile.

Bart has a degree in Mathematics from Leuven University.


Phillip Vandervoort - Chief Consumer Market Officer

Phillip Vandervoort became Chief Consumer Market Officer of Proximus on 1 April 2014. Philip has worked in several major companies, such as Dupont de Nemours International, Union Minière, Interbrew/Inbev, and joined the Microsoft Corporation in 2007.

As General Manager of Microsoft Belgium and Luxembourg, in 2010 Philip became Partner and General Manager Business Strategy, Marketing & Operations Microsoft for Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.

He is a director at Tango Luxembourg, Scarlet Belgium and Awingu.

Phillip is an industrial engineer and has a degree in business administration from Stanford University.
